Ph.D. — 3D Animation, Game Design & VR
Teaching the next generation of digital artists and game designers at Keiser University. Researcher published in IEEE, Siggraph, and Pixar RenderMan.
I am Dr. Daniel Ahn, a professor of Animation and Game Design at Keiser University's Flagship campus in West Palm Beach, Florida. My work sits at the intersection of art, technology, and education.
With a doctorate in design and years of hands-on industry experience, I bring both academic rigor and creative passion into every classroom. My students learn to think like designers and storytellers — not just software operators.
"Art and technology are not opposites. The greatest digital works are born when they speak the same language."
My research has been published at Pixar, Siggraph, IEEE, and Applied Science conferences.
Character modeling, rigging, and animation for film, games, and interactive media.
Level design, gameplay systems, and real-time asset pipelines for complete experiences.
Extended reality design and immersive experience prototyping. Published researcher in VR.
Motion graphics, VFX pipelines, and post-production workflows integrating 3D with live footage.
Building structured, industry-aligned programs that take students to professional-grade portfolios.
Cultural heritage through 3D digital garments — Hanbok, Kimono — as art and research.
I design and teach the Bachelor of Science in Animation and Game Design (BSAGD) program at Keiser University — industry-aligned courses combining technical skill-building with creative thinking.
Whether you're a prospective student, a collaborating researcher, or an institution looking for expertise in 3D animation and game design — I'd love to hear from you.
